Organic Fiji is committed to offering high-quality coconut oil products that are made from the cleanest of ingredients and created within an ethical and socially responsible production setting. Equally important to us is caring about the environment and the beautiful earth we live on. We look inward towards our company and products, making sure that we create marine safe, wilderness friendly and biodegradable personal care that won’t harm the ecology and wildlife around us. We apply environmentally friendly production and shipping methods wherever possible – recycling materials and using biodegradable packing peanuts. As we adjust our gaze and look outward, we realize there is a lot of work still to do to live a greener life and improve the protection we give to nature. We are not only inspired by island life, nature and all the gifts the Earth offers us, we care about positively impacting it too. That’s why we have decided to put a foot in the right direction and offer a $1 donation to The Surfrider Foundation for every e-commerce order we receive. Purchase Organic Fiji’s coconut oil products knowing your order is creating a wave of change, protecting the world’s valuable oceans and coastlines.

About Surfrider

“The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network. Our staff of nearly 50 people help support our chapter network in their campaigns, champion for policy and fight legal battles for our coasts, bring awareness to the issues facing our ocean, provide critical support on stuff like accounting, technology, and HR, and raise money to make all of this happen. We have an appetite for adventure and we all share a common passion – we love and appreciate our ocean, waves and beaches” explains Surfrider. At any given moment, Surfrider is working on over 90 campaigns nationwide. Their energetic and passionate network of staff and volunteers are dedicated to the protection of our beautiful ocean, waves and beaches. “For more than 30 years, the Surfrider Foundation has been protecting what you love”. –Surfrider Surfrider started in Malibu California, just down the Pacific Coast Hwy from Organic Fiji’s headquarters. A group of enthusiastic environmental surfers came together to protect Malibu’s coastline from overdevelopment and pollution. This group of committed individuals developed into Surfrider, one of the most powerful and proactive coastal protection agencies worldwide.

Why Surfrider

Our ocean, waves and beaches belong to all of us and it is our job to protect them”. –Surfrider

Surfrideroutlines how important their hard work is “Our irreplaceable national network of chapter volunteers serves as the first response to local threats in coastal communities across the US. They are the boots on the ground who collaborate on both the local and national level with regional staff and issue experts to carry out our mission through campaign, program and educational initiatives in their local communities. Our ocean faces growing challenges from pollution, offshore development and climate change. At the same time, expanding industries, such as offshore oil drilling, threaten to crowd our ocean and degrade its health (and those who call it home!). We’ve been building our volunteer network of 84 chapters & 40 clubs across the US for more than 30 years. Our volunteers are the lifeblood of the Surfrider Foundation”. Consider joining Surfrider’s volunteer network; meet like-minded people, protect our environment and make a change to the earth’s oceans and coastlines! Go to Surfrider’s Volunteer Page for more information.
