We are a family run boutique brand that believes in transparency. Ardent about protecting the Earth, paying it forward, and offering our loyal customers honest, nourishing, and healing products. Our products are certified USDA Organic by Oregon Tilth, Non GMO, vegan, cruelty-free, gluten free, reef safe, and wilderness friendly. We hope to inspire a more mindful self care movement with a natural product line that does not compromise either purity or performance.
Certifications and Badges
As the natural products industry develops and grows, consumers are starting to differentiate brands by their authenticity and values at an unprecedented rate. Consumer consciousness is expanding and shoppers are deciding where to place their votes with their product choices. According to a study by Edelman, 60% of consumers agreed with the statement “brands should make it easier for me to see what their values and positions on important issues are when I am about to make a purchase”. USDA Certified Organic:
The USDA logo that you see on our products means that the product has undergone a meticulous verification process to certify its organic claims. Seeing the USDA logo on a product guarantees you are paying the real cost of an authentic product which has been USDA Certified Organic. Oregon Tilth:
Oregon Tilth is an agency accredited by the USDA who verifies products as organic to the USDA’s national organic program standards. Oregon Tilth has over 4 decades of experience certifying products as organic and are well known for having very strict standards. They are a non-profit company and their core mission is to provide protection and assurance for consumers. Organic Fiji is proud to be certified by Oregon Tilth, one of the oldest and most credible certifying agencies in the USA.
Non GMO:
A genetically modified organism is an animal, plant, microorganism, or other type of organism which has a genetic makeup that was modified using gene modification methods and technology. This modern day scientific system generates mixtures of plant, animal, bacterial, and viral genes that do not occur in nature. Many countries around the world think that GMOs are so unsafe and unstable that they have either prohibited them totally or applied strict restrictions to the creating and selling of them. However, the U.S. government has approved GMOs based on private studies conducted by the very same companies that manufacture them and profit from their sale. Sixty four countries around the world (including The United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, China, countries of the European Union and more) require GMOs in foods to be labeled. While an ABC News survey found that 93% of Americans believe genetically modified foods should be labeled, GMOs are not required to be labeled in the U.S. We can assure you that you will not find any genetically modified organisms in any Organic Fiji products. USDA Organic Program regulations prohibit any genetically modified (GMO) ingredients in a certified organic product.
Vegan and Cruelty Free:
Our products contain absolutely no animals, animal by-products, or animal substances*. The term Vegan means that the product (and any ingredient sourced for the creation of the product) does not contain any fish, meat, eggs, milk, honey, bee products, any animal byproduct of any kind, or any ingredient that was created with animal-derived genes. It also means that no animal testing of products or ingredients were performed by the manufacturer, the production facility or any other independent parties involved. We are against any kind of animal cruelty and we have never and will never use animals in any way to test our products. We will, however, continue to encourage people to feed their dogs organic coconut oil because they absolutely love it! It’s great for their coats, keeps their digestive tract healthy and their tails wagging! It can also soothe irritation from allergies and assist with wound healing. Our Organic Lemongrass Tangerine Coconut Oil is a wonderfully natural way to keep those pesky fleas at bay that your pets hate so much too! *Except Organic Fiji Lip Balms which contain a small amount of ethically sourced beeswax
Gluten Free:
All our products are gluten free. If you have a gluten allergy, you won’t need to worry if you consume our organic, cold pressed coconut oil or if you use any of our tropical body products on your skin. Gluten means any gluten protein from the grain of any of the following cereals or from the grain of a hybridized strain that is created from at least one of the following cereals: barley, rye, triticale, wheat, oats except gluten-free oats or any modified gluten protein. The products you use on your skin are absorbed into your bloodstream, so if cutting gluten out is part of your lifestyle, it’s a good idea to find out about ingredients you consume both internally and externally. Organic Fiji is completely gluten free!
Clean, Pure & Plant Based:
All Organic Fiji products are clean of toxic chemicals, pure, exactly how nature intended, and perfectly plant-based! You can check out our ingredient listings on the EWG Skin Deep database to verify our commitment to clean, pure, and plant-based products that are free of toxic, harsh, or questionable ingredients.
Marine Safe & Reef Safe:
Organic Fiji products are biodegradable, which means they are safe for both people and the planet. The products that wash off our skin into nature and down our drains with waste water impact the delicate balance of ecology that surrounds us. Our products are safe to use when you are soaking up the wilderness (a great choice for minimalistic, multifunctional camping personal care!). They also safely go down your drain after using them in the shower, being kind to the body of water they’re returned to. You can be assured that using Organic Fiji products in or around nature will not negatively impact your surrounding ecosystem, wildlife, or reefs. If you’re a surfer, our organic coconut oil even makes applying your wetsuit a breeze!
Recyclable:
This symbol on our products means that our packaging can be recycled. We also use biodegradable ‘packing peanuts’ in our shipments, these pieces of material are so natural they are actually edible! (However, we wouldn’t recommend it, they’re rather tasteless). We also capture and reuse all packaging material of goods that ship to our facility.
12M:
The ‘period-after-opening symbol’ tells you the recommended time frame to use your product within. The 12M refers to 12 months.
